April (opening day), 2008

Every year the Washington State Fish and Game Department, with help from former Lion Ken Kildahl who is a retired officer of the department, stocks the pond in the town park with an abundance of Trout. Kids must be 15 or under and there are prizes every hour for the biggest fish that hour and a grand prize at the end for the biggest fish of the day.  We counted nearly 300 kids this year!

Some gathered here as early at 4:30 AM!

 

Parents "help"

Hot Cakes and Hot Chocolate for all .

Prizes = 3 poles, 3 tackle boxes, 3 sleeping bags and a bike
